Annual Report by RA Prosecutor’s Office Presented in Parliament
1 / 6

At May 6 regular sitting of the National Assembly, the RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan presented the Report on the activities of the RA Prosecutor’s Office for 2020.

Necessary measures were taken by the RA criminal prosecution bodies during 2020, aimed at counteracting crime in the republic, protecting the citizens’ rights and increasing the efficiency of the works on ensuring legality.

The Prosecutor General noted that 26,468 cases were registered in the republic during the reporting period which decreased by 382 or 1,4% compared to 2019.

It was stated that the reduction of the crimes was mainly due to the reduction of the crime cases against property and economic activity. In particular, the cases on theft of personal property have been essentially decreased, including robberies, cases of burglary which, of course, is the evidence of positive dynamic.
