Rights of Tenant and Landlord Equalized
1 / 4

The Parliament debated the draft law on Amending the RA Law on State Registration of Rights to the Property in the first reading. The author, the NA deputy Arusyak Julhakyan, noted that as a result of expression of one individual’s will, the current legislation does not give an opportunity to recognize invalid the state registration of rights of lease to the real estate. The procedural laws make the realization of guaranteed material rights impossible in practice.

It has been proposed to give an opportunity to recognize invalid the registered right in case when unilateral application is presented, and in case of lease of the real estate – corresponding document proving the circumstance of being properly notified three months ago to another side of the contract.

Artur Davtyan has presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, stating that the rights of the tenant and the landlord are equalized.

The RA Deputy Head of the Cadastre Committee Narine Avagyan underlined that an agreement of making some corrections was reached during the period from the first to the second reading. She proposed the parliament to vote for it.
