First Component of Twinning Project of RA National Assembly Held

On April 19-21, the first component of Twinning Program Strengthening the Capacity of the National Assembly of Armenia: To Further Support CEPA Oversight and Implementation was held.

The seminar with heading “Strengthening of Institutional Structures, Systems and Tools for Effective Work of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia” was aimed at the improvement of the RA Parliament work style and the Staff capabilities.

The Head of the First Component from Greece, Dr. Vasilios Svolopoulos , the Head of the First Component from Armenia Koryun Sargsyan, the Leader of the Twinning Project from the Helleenic Parliament Eleni Kanellopoulou, the Leader of the Twinning Project from the beneficiary country Mari Manukyan, the Resident Twinning Adviser Georgia Makropoulou, as well as the numerous employees, experts from the parliaments of Italy and Armenia took part in the Project.

During three-day meetings the participants presented the work order of their parliaments, the process of the implementation of the legislative, oversight and representation functions was shown, and exchange of experience was held.

We’ll also add that the Project will last two years, and such meetings would be of continuous character.
