At Sitting of RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment

On October 2, the regular sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment moderated by Varazdat Karapetyan was held.

The Committee debated in the second reading the draft law on Making Amendment and Addenda to the Law on Social Support of the Border Communities authored by the deputies of the NA My Step Faction Sisak Gabrielyan, Sipan Pashinyan. As the key rapporteur Sisak Gabrielyan informed, the RA Government and the NA Bright Armenia Faction presented recommendations from the first to the second reading: the recommendations of the Government were accepted.

The Government designs to expand the spheres subject to compensation, which were damaged because of the military or terrorist actions committed from the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, proposes to provide compensation the persons, who have taken care the citizen that died because of the abovementioned actions until he/she reached 18.

The bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Environmental Control authored by the RA Government and the package of the enclosed presented bills were debated in the second reading. The Head of the Inspection Bodies’ Coordination Bureau of the RA Prime Minister’s Staff Artur Asoyan noted that the recommendations of the NA Bright Armenia and the Government were accepted. The legislative amendments were endorsed.

The debate of a number of bills was postponed up to two months.
