It is Proposed to Establish Requirements Being Presented to the Venues for Implementation of Transport Means Sale

On July 8, the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment moderated by Varazdat Karapetyan convened an extraordinary sitting.

The legislative initiative authored by the RA NA deputies Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Nikolay Baghdasaryan, Narek Zeynalyan and Koryun Mkrtchyan, which designs addenda to the laws on Local Self-Government, on Trade Services and the Code on Administrative Offences, was debated in the first reading.

According to the key speaker Nikolay Baghdasaryan, the goal of the initiative is to establish by law the venues being designed for the transport means sale and the requirements presented to them. It is proposed to approve the venues being community property with the support of the Head of the community, where the sale of the transport means is organiised, as well as fix the amount of that venue payment. The authors also proposed to fix tenfold increase in penalty from the fixed minimum salary, if the transport means subject to sale is detained in the non-envisaged venue.

The Committee endorsed the package of the draft law.
