Draft Law on National Strategy of Protection of Human Rights and Action Plan for 2020-2022 Stemming From It

At November 8 extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration moderated by Arman Yeghoyan the draft law on the National Strategy of Protection of Human Rights and Action Plan for 2020-2022 Stemming from it was debated. The Chair of the Standing Committee informed that by the Road Map of the application of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement the abovementioned strategy should be adopted in November of this year.

According to the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Kristine Grigoryan, preliminary numerous public debates were held with the MPs, the representatives of the NGOs and the marz structures.

As Kristine Grigoryan has assured, it will be accessible for the citizens, and reports will be on the platform.

The MPs voiced various items, which related to the violence towards children and women, the hatred speech on the social networks, its reduction, the spreading of fake news, the police-citizen relationship, the right to life, the tolerance, the violation of human rights in the mental institutions and other problems.
