Parliament Makes Decision of Applying to CC on Suspending Hrayr Tovmasyan’s Authorities with 98 for and 1 against Votes

On October 4, the National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings and adopted by voting the items debated on the previous day.

Afterwards the Chair of the NA Accounting Committee Vahagn Hovakimyan, summing up the results of the voting informed that 101 deputies took part in the voting of making the decision of applying to the Constitutional Court (CC) on suspending the authorities of the CC Judge Hrayr Tovmasyan. Two out of the existing vote papers were recognized invalid. The decision was made with 98 for and 1 against votes.

Let remind that at least 3/5 of the votes of the deputies’ total number was necessary for the adoption of the draft decision.

Covering the agenda the parliament ended the work of the regular sittings.
