Ararat Mirzoyan Receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia

On June 25, the President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Yogeshwar Sangwan, who completes his tenure in our country.

The Head of the Parliament highly assessed the Ambassador’s contribution to the strengthening of the Armenian-Indian ties, noting that there are numerous examples of cooperation in the most different spheres. Nevertheless, according to Ararat Mirzoyan, there is still unused great potential, including the spheres of economy, education, high technologies and tourism. To the NA President’s conviction, the restoration of the direct air communication between the two capitals will essentially promote the expansion of the cooperation.

Touching upon the importance of the inter-parliamentary relations, the Head of the legislative body distinguished the activeness of the Friendship Groups’ works, the meetings at high level, as well as the collaboration on the international parliamentary platforms and the mutually agreed activity on different issues. Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed the invitation addressed to the Head of the Parliament of India for visiting Armenia.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm reception and words of evaluation, Yogeshwar Sangwan talked about the joint programmes, which had been implemented until now. He has also underlined that there are considerable great perspectives, which are waiting for their implementation. Qualifying the bilateral relations as dynamically developing, the Ambassador highlighted the contacts at high level, the deepening of cooperation between the legislative bodies and the activation of the business circles’ ties.

Wishing Yogeshwar Sangwan success in his further activity, Ararat Mirzoyan expressed confidence that he would be among the friends of Armenia everywhere.
