Issues on Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Discussed

On March 11, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Mane Tandilyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.

Welcoming the Ambassador in the parliament the Committee Chair highlighted the development of the Armenian-Russian friendly and alliance relations, and underlined the necessity of cooperation between the Committees of the two countries’ parliaments. Mane Tandilyan presented to the Ambassador the common provisions and the working order of the Committee’s activity.

In the context of the two countries’ inter-state relations the RF Ambassador highly assessed the existing level of the inter-parliamentary relations.

In the further deepening of the friendly peoples’ relations Mane Tandilyan highlighted the Ambassador’s practical participation and support. The Committee Chair also expressed her concern about some Russian MPs’ participation in the anti-Armenian event organized in Baku on February 26.

The interlocutors discussed issues concerning the two countries’ economic and political situation.

On the same day the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Mkhitar Hayrapetyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.

Talking about the issues concerning the development of the Armenian-Russian relations Mkhitar Hayrapetyan emphasized the deepening of the inter-parliamentary cooperation. Presenting the main directions of the Committee’s activities he especially underscored the mutually beneficial cooperation on the issues of different spheres between the legislative bodies.

The Committee Chair expected the Ambassador’s participation and support in the further deepening of the two parliaments’ relations.

Sergey Kopirkin presented the events being designed in the near future and highlighted the participation of the National Assembly in them.
