Lena Nazaryan Receives Ambassador of China to Armenia

On March 7, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Lena Nazaryan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of People’s Republic of China to Armenia Tian Erlong.

Welcoming the Ambassador Lena Nazaryan has noted that the Armenian-Chinese friendly relations have a history of many centuries, and they still come from the period of Great Silk Road. According to the NA Deputy Speaker, Armenia highlights the development of cooperation with China and its deepening in different spheres.

Speaking about the development of cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments Lena Nazaryan assured that the Armenian-Chinese Friendship Group to be created in the near future in the National Assembly would have a great role in the inter-parliamentary relations.

The NA Deputy Speaker has noted that the role of the Embassy is great in the development of the Armenian-Chinese relations and in the implementation of different programmes.

The Ambassador of China to the RA expressed readiness for promoting the strengthening of cooperation in the inter-parliamentary, as well as in different spheres. Tian Erlong has noted with satisfaction that about 2000 young people in Armenia study Chinese language and culture. The Ambassador also referred to the fellowships to be allocated for study in China.

The interlocutors highly assessed the cooperation in the cultural, educational, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres, noting that the volume of goods turnover between the two countries had increased. According to Lena Nazaryan, it is necessary to develop the relations also in the sphere of tourism.
