On February 11, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial and Eurasian Integration Mikayel Melkumyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.

The Ambassador congratulated Mikayel Melkumyan on being elected in the post of the Chair of the newly elected Committee and highlighted the role of the Committee in the development of the Armenian-Russian relations in the frameworks of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Sergey Kopirkin expressed hope that the works in bilateral relations would be effective, and a relevant agenda would be formed.

Mikayel Melkumyan informed about his intention of creating bilateral format of cooperation with similar Committee, underscoring that the delegation led by the Chairman of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the RF Federal Assembly State Duma Leonid Kalashnikov would visit the NA in the future.
