On March 30 the meeting of the representatives of the political forces of the National Assembly with the Syrian delegation, comprised of 12 tribe leaders, being in Armenia within the framework of the events dedicated to the 90^th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held. RA NA Deputy Speaker Vahan Hovhannisyan, MPs Manvel Badeyan, Samvel Balasanyan, Hrayr Karapetyan, Vostanik Marukhyan, Viktor Dallakyan, Aghasi Arshakyan and Grigor Ghonjeyan attended the meeting.

The Armenian MPs expressed their gratitude to the guests for respecting the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, their noble fathers for giving refuge and supporting the Armenians survived by miracle from the Genocide, and most of them today live with Arab people, making use of equal rights. 12 tribe leaders ensured that the centuries long friendship of two nations is stable and continuous, their wish is to see the Arab and Armenian people side by side fighting for justice, stating at the same time, that they condemn any violence in any country. NA Deputy Speaker Vahan Hovhannisyan presented the structure of the National Assembly and the activities of the parliament. The members of the Syrian delegation had the opportunity to attend the parliamentary hearings being held at the NA chamber, which were dedicated to the key problem of Nagorno Karabakh, so NA Deputy Speaker Vahan Hovhannisyan presented the current processes directed to the political solution of the Karabakh problem and the position of Armenia by their request.
