On July 16, the RA NA President Ara Babloyan received the Chairman of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA) Gagik Makaryan, the RUEA Council Member Hakob Baghdasaryan, the member of the RUEA Economy and Entrepreneurship Club Serzh Gharibyan, the Chairman of the NGO Association of Accountants of SME of Armenia Vahagn Hambardzumyan and the Council Member Lilit Chichoyan.

Welcoming the attendees, Ara Babloyan particularly said:

“Dear colleagues and guests,

Let me welcome you for being in the RA National Assembly on this special occasion.

It is not a secret that our achievements and successes in most different spheres of public life are conditioned by the efficiency of policy being pursued by the authorities in the sphere of economy. In terms of elaboration and implementation of economic policy the law-making activity becomes of special importance, as the efficiency of the policy is conditioned by it, as well as the possible provision of the expectations of the main sector of the public. Thus, it is worth to appreciate the initiative of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs to turn the Committee into on one hand by those elaborating and implementing policy, the representatives of economic-academic mind, and on another hand into a special platform of dispute and dialogue between the NA deputies. It, undoubtedly, gives its positive result, and we already have its examples, and one of which is the effective cooperation of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs with Amberd Research Centre of the Armenian State University of Economics. In fact, in the practice of the National Assembly this cooperation with the freelance adviser of the Committee, certainly, can be considered a novelty. Continuing these initiatives, today we together with you witness the regular manifestation of that approach of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, and we have an opportunity to open a new page of cooperation this time between two other organizations and the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs. We should state that the cooperation of the Committee with these structures had also been implemented before, too. The signing of the Memoranda gives an institutional character to this cooperation.

The Memoranda of Cooperation are signed between the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the NGO the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia, as well as the Association of Accountants of SME of Armenia.

The Memoranda, including other mechanisms of cooperation, also envisage that our colleagues can make expertise researches or implement studies in different spheres by their own initiative.

Dear colleagues, let me wish you successes, being convinced that this cooperation will be fruitful.”

Highlighting the cooperation between the parties, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Khosrov Harutyunyan noted that these Memoranda would open new favourable page of cooperation.

Evaluating the mutual cooperation, Mikayel Melkumyan expressed conviction that it would effectively promote the elaboration of the economic sphere and the implementation of the adoption process.

Expressing his gratitude for the reception and cooperation, Gagik Makaryan has noted with joy that they are ready to invest their experience and potential in calling into life the legislative initiatives in the RA National Assembly.

Emphasizing the effective cooperation between the two parties in the improvement of the legislation Vahagn Hambardzumyan has underlined that it is a great honour for them to work with the parliament.

At the end of the meeting Khosrov Harutyunyan signed Memoranda of Cooperation with Gagik Makaryan and Vahagn Hambardzumyan.
