On March 11 RA NA President Artur Baghdasaryan met Robert Ness, Regional Director East Europe British Council. Roger Budd, Director British Council Armenia also participated in the meeting.
Various issues were discussed during the meeting, in particular, on rooting European educational system in Armenia. RA NA President Artur Baghdasaryan noted that the educational issues are in the center of consideration in Armenia as an issue having supremacy for the state. The recovery of middle specialized educational system was highlighted within this framework. A particular attention was paid to the establishment and development of middle specialized educational institutions in regions to which the British Council can greatly contribute, including its educational projects. It was noted that in the Parliament, laws related to the educational amendments were adopted and were in circulation, which will be summed up by the adoption of the Educational Code and the goal of which is to complete the educational system from pre-school to post higher educational system. Touching upon the middle specialized education Mr. Ness noted that in Britain it is also a key issue and is highlighted equal to higher education. Robert Ness, Director East Europe British Council and Roger Budd, Director British Council Armenia expressed readiness to promote the solution of discussed problems.
