Parliament Continues Work of Regular Sittings

On April 11, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings and passed by voting with 95 for the draft law on Ratifying the Comprehensive and Enhanced Agreement on one hand between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union and the Nuclear Energy European Community and on the other hand, their member states debated on the previous day.

The parliament debated the RA draft law on Amending the Decision NAD-267 of the RA National Assembly for 2016 on Approving the Working Order of the RA National Assembly presented by Karine Atshemyan.

The MP Shushan Sardaryan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights.

The RA NA Deputy Speakers Arpine Hovhannisyan, Mikayel Melkumyan MPs Koryun Nahapetyan, Hakob Hakobyan, Artak Zeynalyan delivered speeches and presented recommendations.

The RA Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan presented for debate in the first reading the RA draft law on Making Amendment and Addenda to the RA Law on Trade and Services with the enclosed package. The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Vardevan Grogoryan presented the endorsement.

The NA Hayk Babukhanyan, Artak Zeynalyan, Ararat Mirzoyan, Araik Hovhannisyan, Armenuhi Kyureghyan expressed their viewpoint

In his final speech the key speaker touched upon the MPs' proposals.

The Chairman of the State Committee for Water Management of the RA Ministry of Energy Sub-Structures and Natural Resources Arsen Harutyunyan presented for debate the RA draft law on Ratifying the Loan Agreement Additional Financing of the Irrigation System Improvement between the Republic of Armenia and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development .

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The key and co-speakers the RA NA Deputy Speaker Mikayel Melkumyan, the MPs Naira Zohrabyan and Vahe Enfiajyan answered the deputies' questions.

The MP Hakob Hakobyan presented the viewpoint of the RA NA RPA Faction. In his final speech Gagik Minasyan expressed conviction that the programme was effective, and the results would be visible.

Hakob Hakobyan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Medicine authored by the RA NA deputies Hakob Hakobyan, Aghvan Vardanyan, Arsen Mikhaylov, Marina Margaryan, Margarit Yesayan and Jemma Baghdasaryan.

Presenting the viewpoint of the NA RPA Faction, the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan touched upon the main goal being proposed by the draft law.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Mikayel Melkumyan presented the viewpoint of the NA Tsarukyan Faction and his one.

The RA NA deputies Vahe Enfiajyan, Sergey Bagratyan, Artak Zeynalyan, Naira Zohrabyan, Vardan Bostanjyan expressed their viewpoints.

In his final speech Hakob Hakobyan touched upon the voiced concerns.

At the end of the day the parliament debated the report on the Activities of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC). The CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan presented the activities for 2016-2017.

The deputies Naira Zohrabyan, Edmon Marukyan, Artak Zeynalyan expressed their viewpoints on the report.

At the last sitting, according to the law NA Rules of Procedure, the members of the RA Government answered the deputies’ questions.
