Born on May 17, 1958 in the village of  Dzoragyugh  (now Gegharkunik marz) in the Martouni region.

Mr. Grigoryan received his degree in economics and technical mechanics from Kiev Agricultural Academy in 1989.

1976-1977 - worked in the Dzoragyugh collective farm. 1977-1979 - served in the Soviet Army. 1982-1996  - worked in

Ukraine. 1996- 1999  - Head of the community of Dzoragyugh of Gegharkunik marz. 1999-2003 he was the deputy to the Regional Governor of Gegharkounik, 2003 -  head of the RPA Gegharkounik marz council, 2007 -  President Member of Chess Federation of the RA.

2003-2007 - was a deputy in the NA (electoral district  # 31). He was a member of the NA Standing Committee on

Financial-Credit, Budgetary and Economic Affairs. He was a member of the RPA faction.

On May 12, 2007 he was elected as a deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional system from the Republican Party of Armenia/RPA. Member of RPA council.

2006 - was awarded with RA Defence Minister medal of “Marshal Baghramyan,” and 2010 was awarded with medal of

Defence of the RA of “Garegin Nzdeh.”

Mr. Grigoryan is married and has four children.
