He was born on October 30, 1966 in Kajaran.

In 1984-1986 he served in the Soviet Army.

In 1984 he entered the Faculty of Planning Economy of Yerevan State Institute of National Economy and in 1990 graduated from it. He is an economist.

In 1983-1984 he worked as a trainer at sports school in Abovian.

In 1990-1992 and 1994-1997 - from economist to manager at Abovian branch of Agroardbank.

In 1992-1994 and 1997-1998 he worked in Moscow.

In 1998-2003 – Deputy Director, Director at “RA Railway Transport” State CJSC, Deputy General Director at “Armenian Railway" CJSC.

In 2003-2004 Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Armenia.

In 2004-2007- Director of  “AC-Fin Royal” LLC.

On May 12, 2007 he was elected a deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Republican Party of Armenia.

He is married and has three children.
