Rubik Stepanyan

Born on January 3, 1958 in the village of Artsvanist in Gegharkunik province.

1976 - 1978 - Served in the Armed Forces of the USSR.

1989 - Graduated from the general special school of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Azerbaijan SSR.

1998 - Graduated from the Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Security of the Republic of Armenia. Lawyer. Police Colonel.

Member of the Artsakh Liberation War.

1979 - 1991 - Security officer of Spandaryan Department of Internal Affairs of Yerevan.

1991 - 1993 - Deputy Head of the Line Department of the Internal Affairs of the “Zvartnots” Airport.

1993 - 1994 - Deputy Head of the Aghstev Province Department of the Internal Affairs (PDIA).

1994 - 1995 - Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Vayk.

1995 - 1997 - Head of the Division of Internal Affairs of Martuni in Gegharkunik Province.

1998 - 2002 - Head of the division of Internal Affairs of Kotayk.

2002 - 2008 - Head of the Kotayk PDIA.

2008 - 2014 - In Staff Reserve of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

2014 - 2016 - Head of the “Nubarashen” Criminal Executive Office of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

Awarded the Medals “Marshal Baghramyan” (2002, MD), “For Military Service” (2002, RA) and (2006, NKR), “Vazgen Sargsyan” (2003, MD), “Garegin Nzhdeh” (2004, MD), “For Services Contributed to the Motherland” of the 2nd rank (2006), “15th Anniversary of the Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan” (2007), and “Stronghold of the law” (2010).

2004 - Honored the title of “Honorary Police Officer.”

December 9, 2018 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the territorial electoral list of the electoral district #8 of the “Bright Armenia” party.

Married, with three children.
