Romik Manukyan

Born on March 20, 1961 in the village of Sarakat in Shirak province.

1980 -1982 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1980 - Graduated from the Artik Industrial-Technological College.

1985 -1989 - Studied at the Automobile Road and Transport Department of the Omsk Auto-Road Institute, then continued his studies in Yerevan.

1992 - Graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. Engineer-mechanic.

2000 - 2003 - Deputy Governor of the Shirak province of the Republic of Armenia.

2003 - 2007 - Governor of the Shirak province of the Republic of Armenia.

Participant of the liberation battles of Artsakh. Founder, commander of the detachment “Ishkhan Mkrtchyan.”

Since 1990 - Member of the ARF.

2016 - Member of the ARF Supreme Body of Armenia.

April 2, 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the territorial electoral list of the electoral district #11 of the ARF.

Awarded  Medals “For the Liberation of Shushi” (1994, NKR), “For Courage” (2008, NKR), “Drastamat Kanayan” (2009, MD) and “Andranik Ozanyan” (2016, MO).

Married, with three children.
