Khosrov Harutyunyan

Born on May 30, 1948 in Yerevan.

1972 - Graduated from the Mechanical Machine-building Faculty of the Yerevan K. Marx Polytechnic Institute. Architect - mechanic. Professor.

1972 - Worked at the ASSR NAS Byurakan optical-mechanical laboratory.

1977 - Worked at Special Radio-Physics and Electronics Design Office.

1983 - Head of industrial - dispatching department “Armavto.”

1983 - 1986 - Director of Ashtarak Knitted - goods Factory.

1986 - 1987 - Director of Charentsavan clothes factory.

1987 - 1990 - Chair of the Charentsavan City Council.

August 1992 - February 1993 - Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

1996 - 1998 - General Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

Since 1997 - Teaching at the State Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Armenia.

1999 - 2000 - Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia - Minister of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia.

2000 - 2002 - Advisor to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vice - Chair of the State Commission on the organization of the festivities related to the 1700 anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as state religion in Armenia, the main coordinator of activities.

2009 - Member of the Public Council, adjunct to the President of the Republic of Armenia.

1997 - Head of Working Group for Developing the Concept and the Law on Civil Service in the Republic of Armenia.

1997 - 2000 - International Expert on UN issues of decentralization and civil service.

Author of the initiative of March 16, 1999 Strasbourg Memorandum on Parliamentary Cooperation of the South Caucasian Republics under the auspices of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Since 2003 - Presides over the Christian - Democratic Union in Armenia (CDUA).

1990 - 1992 - Member of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia. (electoral district #144). Member of the Standing Committee on Local Self - Government Affairs of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia. Chair of the Standing Committee on Local Self - Government Affairs of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia.

1992 - Member of the Armenian delegation in OSCE. Member of the Armenian delegation in OSCE Minsk Group on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

1992 - Powers as an MP were terminated on the occasion of being appointed Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

1993 - 1995 - Member of the Supreme Council (electoral district #36). Secretary of the Standing Committee on Financial - Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the Supreme Council.

1995 - 1999 - Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (electoral district #7). Member of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly and was not included in factions and deputy group.

1998 - 1999 - President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

2012 - 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Republican Party of Armenia.

Member of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the “Republican” (RPA) faction.

April 2, 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the RPA national electoral list.

2002 - Awarded the Medal of “Movses Khorenatsi."

2013 - Awarded the Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan.”

2013 - Awarded the Gold Medal “For Agricultural Achievements” (Ministry of Agriculture, MA).

2014 - Awarded the Medal “For Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation, CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) PA.

Author of dozens of articles.

Married, with two children.
