Armen Rustamyan

 Born on March 1, 1960 in the village of Zangakatoun in the Ararat region.

1983 - 1984 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1983 - Graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics and Sciences of the P. Loumoumba Peoples' Friendship University in Moscow. Physicist.

1984 - 1991 - Scientific associate at YSU.

1991 - 1993 - Chief specialist in an Armenian - French joint venture.

1993 - 1994 - Scientific associate in Orsay Institute of Theoretical and Applied Optics in France.

1990 - 1995 - Deputy of Yerenan City and Miasnikyan regional councils.

1995 - 1998 - Arrested for political causes (later, accusations not confirmed).

1999 - 2003 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, ARF), Vice Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly. Member of the ARF faction. Member of the ARF party.

2003 - 2007 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, ARF). Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly. Member of the ARF faction. ARF Armenia SB (Supreme Body) Representative.

2007 - 2012 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, ARF).

Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly. Member of the ARF faction. ARF Armenia SB Representative.

May 6, 2012 - Elected Deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional system from the ARF party.

Since 2015 - Political representative of the ARF Bureau.

2006 - Awarded with Medal of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

2016 - Awarded the “Mkhitar Gosh” Medal.

Divorced, with two children.
