Manvel Grigoryan

Born on July 14, 1956 in the village of Arshaluys (Armavir province.)

1975 - 1977 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1993 - Entered the State University in Stepanakert.

1998 - Graduated from the faculty of Law of the Yerevan State University. Lawyer.

1996 - Graduated from the Higher Educational Command Training Courses of the Military Academy of the Ministry of Defense.

1988 - Participated in the Artsakh Struggle for Freedom.

1992 - Appointed Commander of the Dzorak Volunteer Battalion in Edilou (Hadrut region) of the first region of NKR Defense.

1992 - 1993 - Commander of Echmiadzin Volunteer Battalion with the Title of Captain and then Major.

1993 - Appointed Commander (Lieutenant-Colonel) of the 83rd brigade.

1994 - Received the title of Colonel.

1996 - 2000 - With the title of Major General appointed Commander of the first corps of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

2000 - Received the title of Lieutenant General.

1992 - Elected Deputy of the NKR Supreme Council.

1999 - Chairman of the YVU Department of the Republic of Armenia.

2000 - 2008 - Deputy to the Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia in the direction of readiness for action.

Awarded with the first grade Medal of “Military Cross” (1994, Republic of Armenia,) first grade Medal of “Military Cross” (1994, NKR,) Medal of “Golden Eagle” (2000, NKR,) on the Occasion of “Yerkrapah Day” Medal of YVU “Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan” (2002.)

Awarded the title of NKR “Hero of Artsakh” (2000,) “Honorable Citizen”of Echmiadzin, Armavir and NKR Martakert and Hadrut cities.

May 6, 2012 - Elected Deputy by the proportional electoral system from the Republican Party of Armenia.

Married, with 8 children.
