On October 11 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to the Republic of Armenia Diego Ernesto Alvares Rivera.
Congratulating Mr Rivera on the occasion of assuming the post the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan wished him success in that responsible job and expressed readiness as NA President to support any initiative aimed at the development of the Armenian-Argentinean cooperation. The NA President noted that Armenia was interested in the development and deepening of friendly relations with Latin American countries, in particular, Argentina. He highlighted the dynamic development of the relations in the spheres of mutual interest, the activation of inter-parliamentary cooperation, bilateral high ranking visits and the continuity of contacts at different levels. Hovik Abrahamyan documented with satisfaction that Friendship Groups have been shaped, which due to effective work, could boost the bilateral relations. The further effective cooperation of the two countries in international organizations was emphasized.
Thanking for reception the Ambassador of Argentina also highlighted the development of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, cultural and other spheres, noting that there existed a non-used big potential. With regards to deepening the Armenian-Argentinean relationship the Ambassador highlighted the necessity of development and activation of inter-parliamentary ties.
In the course of the meeting other issues of bilateral interest were also discussed.
