On January 31, at the regular sitting moderated by Hrayr Tovmasyan the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights debated and endorsed a number of legislative initiatives for including them in the draft law of the third session of the RA NA sixth convocation.

The Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Ghambaryan presented the draft law on Amending the RA Criminal Procedure Code.

The RA NA Vice President presented the draft law on Amending the RA Administrative Procedure Code, and the Committee considered it.

The Committee debated in the second reading and also endorsed the draft law on Amending the RA law on Combating Terrorism and the RA Judicial Code.

At the extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Khosrov Harutyunyan the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement was debated. The RA Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Hovhannes Azizyan presented the agreement.

Khosrov Harutyunyan highlighted the draft law which, according to him, the cooperation between the member states.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Gagik Grigoryan presented for debate the draft law on ratifying the Agreement on Development of TRASECA Multimodal Transportation Development.

The bill on Amending the RA Tax Code was debated in the first reading was considered.

The debated draft laws were endorsed by the Committee.

The package of bills on Amending numerous laws in the second reading was debated and endorsed.

On the same day at the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security moderated by Koryun nahapetyan the regular sitting was held. The draft law on ratifying the Convention on Road Signs and Alarms authored by the Government was considered. The key speaker the RA First Deputy Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Gagik Grigoryan presented the amendments being designed by the document and the importance of joining the Convention.

The Committee debated the draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Military Service and the Serviceman’s Status.

As a result of debate, the Committee also endorsed the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Police presented in the second reading.
