On November 28, the RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov took part in the meeting of the Joint Commission at the IPA CIS on the Harmonization of Legislation in the Field of Security and Countering New Challenges and Threats in Tavricheskiy Palace and delivered a speech. Highlighting the role of the IPA CIS Commission in strengthening of stability and peace of the region, the RA NA Vice President noted:

“The issues of peace, security and stability are of priority for the CIS Region. However, I shall note with regret that there are still non-solved conflicts in the CIS Region which are considered to be a threat for the citizens to live secure and in peace. Some sides’ military rhetoric of conflicts, xenophobia, the manifestations of fascism and racism are evident. We, as members of the Commission, are obliged to be united for preventing such inadmissible phenomena. Armenia is for exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflicts existing in the CIS Region on the basis of the international norms and adopted principles. I call on you to be more decisive in fighting against military rhetoric, xenophobia and fascism. Every attempt of military solution of conflicts in our region should be strictly punished.”

The RA NA Permanent Representative to IPA CIS Hayk Chilingaryan also attended the meeting.
