On November 16, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Yerevan State University, who had visited the parliament within the framework of the RA NA Open Doors programme. The guests observed the work of the sittings and took a tour in the parliament building.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov presented the activities and the structure of the legislative body and touched upon the RA draft law on the RA State Budget for 2018 being debated in the NA regular sitting. Afterwards the Deputy Speaker proposed to continue the meeting in Q & A session.

Thanking the RA NA Deputy Speaker for the meeting the YSU students addressed him with the questions: they related to the issues concerning the economic growth, the mechanisms of the poverty elimination, the urbanisation, as well as the membership of Armenia to the EEU, the upcoming signing of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

The NA Deputy Speaker gladly answered to all questions, urging the students to actively take part in the public-political and state building processes.

Summing up the meeting, the RA NA Deputy highlighted the young people’s role in the political and public life of the state.
