On October 23, the RA NA Standing Committees convened sittings.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Armen Ashotyan at October 23 sitting debated and endorsed the draft laws on ratifying the Agreement and the Convention.

The RA Deputy Ministers of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Arman Khachatryan and Gagik Grigoryan presented the draft laws.

The members of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations made interpellations.

The above mentioned draft laws will be included in the draft laws of the agendas of the second session of the RA NA sixth convocation and the upcoming regular sittings.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security moderated by Koryun Nahapetyan at the sitting convened on the same day debated a number of issues concerning the police and defense.

The Deputy Head of the RA Police adjunct to the RA Government Vardan Yeghiazaryan presented for debate the RA draft law on Amending the RA Law on Police.

The RA NA deputy Alik Sargsyan talked about the importance of the bill.

As a result of debate, the Committee endorsed the bill for being included it in the draft laws of the agendas of the second session of the RA NA sixth convocation and the upcoming regular sittings.

The RA Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan presented for debate the draft law on Defense and gave distinct clarifications to all the raised interpellations.

The Committee members presented about forty recommendations on the draft law, and the main part of it was accepted by the speaker.

The RA Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan presented for debate the draft law on the Military Service and the Serviceman’s Status.

The deputies presented 11 recommendations on the draft law, and the main part of it was accepted.

The Committee Chair Koryun Nahapetyan has noted that the draft law is pretentious and is of key importance in the strengthening of the defense of our country.

As a result of debate, the draft law was endorsed for including it in the draft laws of the agendas of the second session of the RA NA sixth convocation and the upcoming regular sittings.
