On October 14, the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan met with the Speaker of the Majlis of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Larijani within the framework of his visit to Saint Petersburg.
During the meeting the sides have noted that the Armenian-Iranian relations are at high level and continue to develop in the atmosphere of mutual trust, and the parliamentary cooperation also promote it.
The interlocutors have underlined that Armenia is a stable partner. The heads of the parliaments of the two countries have highlighted that the Parliamentary Friendship Groups actively work: mutual visits will be in the future.
The sides touched upon the main problems of regional security. The Speaker of the Iranian Majlis has noted that Armenia has an important role in the provision of the regional security.
The parties referred to the issues concerning the development of the political and economic relations.
The heads of the parliaments invited each other to visit their country.
