Ara Babloyan Receives Ambassador of Russia to Armenia

On July 3, the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan received Ivan Volynkin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Armenia.

Underlining the importance of the Armenian-Russian allied relations, Ara Babloyan touched upon the various spheres of the inter-state cooperation between the two countries. The RA NA Speaker highlighted the Armenian-Russian parliamentary cooperation, noting that the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the RF Federal Assembly will continue its effective work. The RA NA Speaker also touched upon the necessity of actively cooperating on the international parliamentary platforms.

Ara Babloyan has documented that the Embassy of Russia to Armenia has a great role in the rapprochement of the Armenian-Russian relations. On behalf of the newly elected parliament he expressed readiness to cooperate with the Embassy, promoting the further deepening of the friendly peoples' relations.

Ivan Volynkin congratulated Ara Babloyan on being elected in the RA NA Speaker's responsible post and wished him fruitful work.

The Ambassador has underlined the importance of the current level of the inter-parliamentary relations on the Russian political agenda.

In Ambassador Ivan Volynkin's word, historically inter-related friendly countries should develop in all spheres, continuing cooperation in the international structures as well.

Ivan Volynkin touched upon the activation of cooperation within the EEU framework, emphasizing the compliance of the legislation of the two countries.

At the end of the meeting the interlocutors discussed the details of the official visit of the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan to Moscow scheduled in the near future.
