On May 30, under Article 100 of the RA Constitution and Article 41 of the RA Law Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, at the initiative of the government, the NA extraordinary sitting was convened by the initiator’s established agenda.

The NA draft decisions on Holding the RA NA Extraordinary Sitting on 30 May 2017, on Duration of the Debate of the Items at RA NA Extraordinary Sitting and on Special Procedures of the Agenda Items of the NA Extraordinary Sitting. According to this, every day of the extraordinary sitting four sittings will be held interrupted for half an hour, and the debate of the draft laws in the second reading will be held after being adopted in the first reading within 24 hours.

The applications on the deputies’ resignation were accepted.

The government proposes amendments to the Law on Social Guarantees of State Officials.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan in the first reading presented for debate the RA package of bills on Amending the RA Law on Social Guarantees of State Officials and on Amending the RA Law on the RA Inspection Bodies.

The deputies directed a number of questions to the key speaker, which were given exhaustive answers.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs Hakob Hakobyan has informed that the Committee endorsed the package.

The NA deputies Naira Zohrabyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Vardan Bostanjyan, Gevorg Kostanyan, Vahe Enfiajyan and the Way Out Faction (Nikol Pashinyan, Artak Zeynalyan, Gevorg Gorgisyan and Edmon Marukyan) expressed their viewpoints on the package.

Legislative recommendation conditioned by the necessity of the change of the dates passing into digital radio broadcasting

The Chairman of the National Commission on Television and Radio Gagik Buniatyan in the first reading presented for debate the legislative package on Amending the RA Law on Television and Radio and on Amending the RA Law on State Duty.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Vardan Bostanjyan presented the Committee’s endorsement.

The NA deputies Arman Saghatelyan, Gevorg Gorgisyan, Mane Tandilyan, Nikol Pashinyan and Artak Zeynalyan expressed their viewpoints on the package.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker delivered an extraordinary speech:

In his extraordinary speech Eduard Sharmazanov has underlined that the key of the draft law under debate is the information security. By the NA Deputy Speaker’s conviction, the residents of the regions bordering Turkey and Azerbaijan will be given an opportunity to get accessible and right information through the Armenian Radio and TV companies.

Mr Sharmazanov expressed conviction that the majority of our community gave the assessment of the authorities’ positive work to the April 2 elections.

The legislative body proposes to make amendments to the RA Law on International Treaties

The RA Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan presented the draft law submitted for debate in the first reading on Amending the RA Law on International Treaties.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Armen Ashotyan presented the Committee’s endorsement.

Legislative recommendation directed to the improvement of the assessment system of the regulation influence was presented.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan presented for debate the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Legal Acts.

Amendment to the RA law and co-laws on the Structure of the RA Government

Artur Hovhannisyan in the first reading presented for debate the legislative package on the Structure of the RA Government, on Remuneration of the State Officials, on Amending the RA Law on Public Service and on Amending the RA Law on Inspection Bodies.

The NA Deputy Speaker Arpine Hovhannisyan presented in her co-report the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights.

The NA deputies Nikol Pashinyan, Hrayr Tovmasyan, Artak Zeynalyan and Edmon Marukyan expressed their viewpoints and recommendations on the package.

The NA RPA Faction expressed its viewpoint

The Secretary of the RA NA RPA Faction Gagik Melikyan presented the viewpoint of the Faction.

In her final speech the co-reporter, the NA Deputy Speaker Arpine Hovhannisyan touched upon her colleagues’ speeches and recommendations and gave clarifications.
