Ara Babloyan Participates in Event Dedicated to Independence of Georgia

On May 26, the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan took part in the event dedicated to the 26th anniversary of Independence of Georgia in the Tigran Mets Hall of Armenia Marriott Hotel, where he delivered his speech. The RA NA Speaker congratulated on the Georgian national holiday, the day of restoration of state independence, and particularly mentioned: “The Armenian-Georgian relationships of many centuries have formed and developed on the firm bases of friendship and reciprocal trust. In the last period the regular mutual visits of the Presidents of the Republic of Armenia and Georgia and strengthening of cooperation in various spheres have testified to the high level of formed relationships between our countries.”

The RA NA President has also highlighted the activation of cooperation in the Armenian-Georgian inter-parliamentary relationships in recent years: “It is my conviction that this is the sphere which have been and continue to be in the centre of attention of the Armenian legislator in the National Assembly of our 6th convocation, since the deepening of relationships with friendly Georgian people is the priority of the Armenian Parliament.”     

The year 2017 is a significant year in mutual relationships: it marks the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Georgia  

The President of the Parliament expressed confidence that we shall be able to further promote the positive dynamics of the Armenian-Georgian friendly relations, taking the interactions to the new level.

Ara Babloyan expressed his conviction that Georgia will continue its path of upward development with various achievements. 

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenian Giorgi Saganelidze
extended his gratitude for the visit and for celebrating the Independence of Georgia together. The Ambassador also mentioned that the role of the Armenians living in Georgia is significant in the construction and advancement of their country.
