Eduard Sharmazanov: There Cannot Be Other Solution than Victory of Artsakh Armenians in NK Problem Settlement

On February 14, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with the students of Yerevan State University, RA State Public Administration Academy, Yerevan Valery Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences and European Educational Regional Academy, who were taking their internship in the National Assembly.

At the NA Deputy Speaker’s request, the meeting went on in a sincere and warm atmosphere. The students’ questions were numerous and of diverse nature: Nagorno Karabakh settlement process, nation-army ideology, parliamentary diplomacy, preservation of national and Christian values, role of political parties in the political processes.

In the Q & A session, Eduard Sharmazanov presented in detail the students the phases of the NK conflict settlement process, the steps taken, the efforts made by the OSCE Minsk Group and international community in the solution of the conflict.

“We expect exclusively fair position of the conflict settlement from the Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the international community, which stems from three well-known principles and the UN Charter,” Mr Sharmazanov noted.

The NA Deputy Speaker touched upon the prior directions of the official and parliamentary diplomacy being implemented by our country and underlined: “Our goal is that our compatriots live and create in a free and independent country. We shall prove the whole world that the victory of the Artsakh Armenians has no alternative.”

Eduard Sharmazanov also talked about the preservation and dissemination of national and Christian values and in this context highlighted the role of the democratic state based on those values.

At the end of the meeting, Mr Sharmazanov advised the students to be optimists, get knowledge in overcoming problems, and choose a profession that will be competitive in the labour market.

At the students’ request, the NA Deputy Speaker expressed his viewpoint also on many issues concerning the RA internal and external political processes.
