On December 7, within the framework of the RA NA Open Lesson programme the students and the lecturers of the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University visited the parliament.

First, the future lawyers observed the work of the last four-day sittings of the NA Autumn Session and got acquainted with the parliamentary everyday life.

The RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan conducted the open lesson.

During the warm and sincere talk the students raised questions, which mainly related to some provisions of the RA Constitution, the restoration works of the earthquake zone, army-building, education and many other problems concerning the youth.

The NA Speaker gladly answered all the raised questions, thoroughly touched upon every problem and gave comprehensive clarifications.

Galust Sahakyan highlighted the lawyers’ role on the path of the creation of legal state, noting that high-quality lawyers are necessary to our country for calling into life the provisions of the reformed RA Constitution, as well as harmonizing the sphere of law to international standards.

“I would like you to become the best lawyers-specialists for our society and state, as the well-informed and educated youth is our future,” the NA Speaker noted.

The students, who participated in the April war, destroyed the enemy’s tanks and a helicopter and promoted our regular victory with their heroic acts, also attended the meeting.

The NA Speaker, highlighting the role and the importance of the youth in the holy act of defending the borders of our country and Artsakh, expressed his deep gratitude to them and noted: “Our nation is proud of having such soldiers.”

At the students’ request, touching upon the problems of the defense sphere, the NA Speaker has noted that they are under the daily attention control of the RA President, legislative and executive authorities and everything is done for solving them.

According to the tradition, at the end of the meeting the students and lecturers have been taken a photo with the NA Speaker in the Session Hall.
