On November 16, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration Naira Zohrabyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the RA Johannes Douma.

Naira Zohrabyan presented the political economic components of the RA-EU future treaty. The Committee Chair has touched upon the procedure of the negotiations, noting that the phase of the negotiations ends and in future we’ll have a new RA-EU legal document. Highlighting the EU 50mln market for our country, Naira Zohrabyan urged the Ambassador to call on the European side to be more consistent with the Armenian side in the negotiations in terms of the economic component of Armenia-EU document.

The parties also discussed inner-political issues: the Committee Chair presented the RA inner-political situation before the parliamentary elections. They referred to the RA Electoral Code, also the issue how the European Union will show additional assistance to Armenia before the parliamentary elections. Mrs Zohrabyan urged the Ambassador to send more representative and long-term Observation Mission to Armenia, underlining the importance of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
