On November 14, the RA National Assembly began the work of the four-day sittings. The parliament passed the NA draft decision on postponements, the draft agenda of the November 14-17 NA four-day sittings of the tenth session of the RA NA fifth convocation, the draft decision on amending the agenda of the tenth session of the RA NA of the fifth convocation.

Afterwards, the deputies by voting passed the bills and agreements debated in the previous four-day sittings.

Bu the proposal of the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan the deputies welcomed the students and lecturers of Gyumri Mikayel Nalbandyan State Pedagogical Institute who had visited the parliament within the framework of the NA Open Doors programme.

The deputies in the first reading debated the legislative package on Amending the RA Civil Code, on State Accounting of the Legal Entities’ Separated Subdivisions, Institutions and Individual Entrepreneurs and on Amending the RA Law on State Duty, which submitted the RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Ayvazyan presented the endorsement of the Committee on the package.

In his final speech Suren Karayan touched upon the deputies’ observations and recommendations, expressing readiness to continue the debates and revise the package.

The RA Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan in the first reading submitted for the debate of the parliament the legislative package of the RA draft laws on Compensation of the Damages Caused to the Servicemen’s Life or Health during the RA Defense, on Amending the RA Law on Servicemen’s and Their Family Members’ Social Security and on Amending the RA Law on State Pensions.

The NA deputies’ questions were numerous on the draft law.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The parliament will continue the debate of the issue at November 15 NA sitting.
