On November 10, the Co-Chair of Yerevan 28th sitting of Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the RF Federal Assembly Nikolay Ryzhkov and the participants accompanied by the RA NA Deputy Speaker, the Co-Chair of Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the RF Federal Assembly Hermine Naghdalyan, the members of the Committee Volodya Badalyan and Levon Martirosyan visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.
The guests laid flowers at the eternal fire and in silence and bowing honoured the memory of Holy Martyrs.
Nikolay Ryzhkov, noting that from school years he has known about the Armenians’ great tragedy perpetrated in the Ottoman Empire, said: “Centuries will pass, but the Armenian Genocide will never be forgotten. Though already four generations have changed in Turkey, but they continue the policy of the Armenian Genocide denial. We should take steps for the reconciliation of the two peoples.
Unfortunately, today in Syria and other places the tragic cases that occurred with the Armenians hundred years ago continue. It is a sacred work for us and for you to prevent them.”
