On October 26, the NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov received the Senior Political Counsellor of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Oleksandr Pavlyuk.
The guest was interested in the political upcoming developments, particularly, the parliamentary elections to be held in our country, the activities of the newly formed Government and the upcoming steps.
Eduard Sharmazanov presented in detail the situation created after the Constitutional reforms, noting that the upcoming parliamentary elections will be an important event in the public and political life of our country.
Talking about the activities of the Government, Eduard Sharmazanov has noted that the RA authorities defend the strategy of the reforms of the new Government, which stems from the main provisions of the RA President’s programme.
“One of the priorities of the RA Government is also the struggle against corruption. Moreover, the most serious steps being initiated in the customs and tax spheres will be aimed at the overcoming of that problem. We have the political will for the continuous implementation of the reforms,” the NA Deputy Speaker noted.
Oleksandr Pavlyuk has noted that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is concerned about the economic cooperation with Armenia and the perspectives of cooperation will be discussed in the future.
In the course of the meeting other issues have also been discussed.
