Members of NA Standing Committee Visit Police Educational Complex of Republic of Armenia

On July 12, the members of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs headed by Koryun Nahapetyan made a working visit to the Police Educational Complex of the Republic of Armenia . The goal of the visit was to evaluate the educational process, to get familiarized with the problems of the Complex. 

The NA deputies firstly laid wreath and flowers at the memorial eternalizing the memory of the policemen died in the line of duty and for the defense of the RA state borders. Afterwards, accompanied by the Head of the Complex, Lieutenant General   of  Police Hovhannes Varyan and the senior staff, they took a tour around the Educational Complex, got acquainted with the training conditions, building and technical facilities and the library of the Educational Centre, College and Academy.

Within the framework of the Police Training Program Committee members talked with the professors and trainees. Problems, related to the educational program, training effectiveness, were discussed and issues, concerning more productive organization of police system activities, including issues in need of legal regulation, were raised.

The deputies also participated in the exam on “Organization of administrative work” subject, observed the examination process.

“It was an important working visit for us: to assess the situation, we are going to organize a discussion in the Committee and to come up with respective recommendations,” mentioned the Committee Chair Koryun Nahapetyan, summarizing the visit.
