The RA NA President’s condolence message says:

“I learnt with deep heartfelt pain about the death of the beloved singer, People’s Artist Ofelya Hambardzumyan.

We lost the popular exceptional voice, which sounded through decades in Armenia and beyond its borders, enchanting the audience and spreading the Armenian song and language. Ofelya Hambardzumyan’s comprehensive art of singing was peculiar and special with its melodiousness and performing technique. Her life and cultural activities of many years were inseparable from the stage, where she could brilliantly realize her inborn rich talent and multiply the Armenian traditions of performing art.

Ofelya Hambardzumyan’s voice could not be confused with any other singer’s voice, a voice that will still continue sounding in the hearts of her art fans and students.

At this hard moment of loss I sincerely express my condolence and grief to the talented singer’s family, close relatives and to all those who appreciate her high art.”
