On May 18, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings.

The parliament resumed debating the annual report of the RA Control Chamber (CC) for 2015. The Chairman of the RA Control Chamber Ishkhan Zakaryan answered the deputies’ questions, which related to the cooperation of the RA CC with the international organizations, the misuse revealed in the territorial structures of social services and the implementation and regulation of the purchase process.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Sukias Avetisyan in his co-report informed that the Committee in detail debated the report.

The NA Deputies Levon Dokholyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Tevan Poghosyan, Samvel Nikoyan, Mher Shahgeldyan and Heghine Bisharyan presented their views on the report.

In his extraordinary speech the RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan touched upon the check-ups carried out by the CC in the sphere of social security.

The RA Minister of Healthcare Armen Muradyan has noted that the Ministry had done active works with the CC specialists in the phase of observations and studies and making conclusions.

The representatives of the parliamentary factions (ANC – Levon Zurabyan, PAP – Mikayel Melkumyan, the RPA – Vahram Baghdasaryan) expressed their views on the issue.

In their final speeches Sukias Avetisyan and Ishkhan Zakaryan referred to the deputies’ concerns and recommendations.

The Chairman of the RA Central Bank (CB) Artur Javadyan presented the factual developments of the fourth quarter for 2015 and the tax-budgetary policy pursued by the CB.

The debate of the issue will resume at May 19 sitting of the parliament.

At the last sitting the members of the RA Government, according to the law, the NA Rules of Procedure, answered the deputies’ questions.
