On May 10 the RA NA Standing Committees convened sittings.
The RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Gagik Minasyan debated 3 loan agreements. The First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan presented the Finance Contract “Yerevan Solid Waste - Phase 1” signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Investment Bank (EIB) on October 16, 2015 and Yerevan Solid Waste Project” signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on December 11, 2015.
The Chairman of the State Committee for Water Management Aram Harutyunyan presented the Loan Agreement signed between the RA Government and the French Development Agency on January 26, 2016.
The debated international agreements with the Committee’s endorsement will be submitted for the ratification of the parliament.
By the authors’ recommendation the legislative initiatives on Amendment to the RA Law on Audit Activities, on Amendment to the RA Law on Road Traffic Security Provision and on Amendment to the RA Law on the RA Budgetary System were postponed up to one year.
The sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs moderated by Elinar Vardanyan was also held. A decision was made to postpone by one year the debate of the draft law on Amendment to the RA Law on Advocacy authored by the NA deputy Tigran Urikhanyan.
On the same day the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment was held, which conducted the Deputy Chairman of the Committee Tatshat Vardapetyan. The draft law on Amendments to the RA Law on Environmental Impact Assessment and Expertise was removed from the circulation by the authors’ proposal.
The RA draft law on Responsible Attitude towards Animals was postponed up to one year by the decision of the Committee.
Armen Yeghiazaryan, Director of the State Agency of the National Centre for Legislative Regulation Project Implementation Unit of the RA Government Staff presented the draft law on Amendments to the RA law on Maintenance of Selective Achievements.
The draft law with the Committee’s endorsement was included in the draft laws of the agendas of the spring session and the upcoming four-day sittings.
