Eduard Sharmazanov Meets with Sergey Narishkin
1 / 3

On April 20, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with the Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Narishkin in the RF State Duma within his working visit to Moscow.

Sergey Narishkin thanked Eduard Sharmazanov for taking part in the conference titled “The Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation for the Benefit of the Joint Welfare of the Eurasian Regional Countries in the 21st Century” and expressed hope that in this format the works will continue.

Eduard Sharmazanov thanked Sergey Narishkin for the reception and highly assessed the idea of holding the conference, evaluating it as one of the guarantees of the security of the countries which is expressed by the dialogue of the parliaments. The RA NA Deputy Speaker in his word has particularly noted that Russia as a CSTO member and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair is aware of the regional security problems. The Azerbaijani authorities, particularly, unleashed military aggression along the entire line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh at the beginning of April, by that grossly violating the agreement on the ceasefire signed in 1994 by Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh Republic and the Republic of Armenia.

Eduard Sharmazanov has also noted that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair states, including Russia shall force Azerbaijan to return to the ceasefire regime signed in 1994 otherwise the military crimes committed by the Azerbaijani authorities take numerous human lives: both the military and the civilians, who the Azerbaijani armed forces despicably killed, as well as the children, whose murders are far from all human rules.

“We positively assess Russia’s efforts on oral agreement, through which the Azerbaijani side has conventionally come back to the ceasefire regime signed in 1994, and it is conventional, as today Azerbaijan regularly violates the ceasefire regime, as a consequence of which the Armenian side has new victims,” noted Eduard Sharmazanov. Talking about the Turkish authorities the RA NA Deputy Speaker expressed concern on the occasion that Turkey, in fact, keeping Armenia under blockade, is also the only country in the world that even defends the crimes of Azerbaijani criminal authorities.

Addressing Sergey Narishkin the RA NA Deputy Speaker once again documented that the people of Artsakh should fully execute the people’s rights of self-determination and living securely, freely and independently in the Motherland. Nobody and nothing can ever take away the fundamental rights from the people of Artsakh. Eduard Sharmazanov presented in detail to the Speaker of State Duma the handwriting of Azerbaijan’s armed forces, which completely repeats the work style of ISIS terrorist group well known in the world.

In response to the facts presented by the RA NA Deputy Speaker, the Speaker of the RF State Duma Sergey Narishkin expressed his concern, noting that what happened during the first days of April were the first actions of that scale after signing of ceasefire, which are really of concern.

Sergey Narishkin has noted that the Russian delegation will take part in the Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide to be held in Yerevan on April 23.
