On April 16, the deputies of the Committee on Defense and Security of the RF Federal Council of the Federal Assembly visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex accompanied by the Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the RA National Assembly Koryun Nahapetyan.

The parliamentarians laid flowers at the monument eternalizing the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims and honoured by bowing by a one-minute silence to one and a half million martyrs.

The parliamentary delegation has also been to the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, got familiarized with the documentary materials telling about the crime committed in 1915.

After visiting the museum the First Deputy Chairman of the RF FA FC Committee on Defense and Security left note in the Book of Memory of the Honourable Guests.

During the talk with the journalists Alexander Chekalin noted: “What I saw here and heard about the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute shocked me. The cruelty done in any way cannot be placed in the human conscience. It is unbelievable that such crime was committed not in the past. As many delegations and politicians come to this museum, so in the future such cruelties will not be repeated, and mutilated destinies will not exist.”
