The Head of the Czech Republic-Armenia Friendship Group of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Robin Bohnisch expressed support in his letter sent to the Head of Armenia-Czech Republic Friendship Group, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov on April 5.
The Czech parliamentarian has noted with deep sorrow about the unprecedented escalation of the situation on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani line of contact, adding that all this takes place on the eve of 101st anniversary of Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire. It has been stated that the members of the Armenian nation are again forced to face the existential threats and defend their lives. He has added that all this is happening in the place so precious to all Armenians.
“The violation of truce on the line of contact means not only that people of Artsakh are jeopardized but it is also an attack on the OSCE authority, as well as on the Minsk Group representatives. In my opinion, the international community should promptly ask Azerbaijan for a clarification and make both sides sit at the negotiating table. The only acceptable way of resolving the conflict is to use diplomacy and nonviolent means,” said the Czech MP.
Robin Bohnisch expressed his sincere condolences to the families, close relatives and friends of the victims who have died during the recent fights, wishing courage and strength.
“I believe that the Armenian nation will emerge even stronger from this ordeal,” the Head of the Czech Republic-Armenia Friendship Group has noted in his letter.
