On February 4, the Head of the NA Armenia-United Arab Emirates (UAE) Friendship Group Ruzanna Muradyan met with Jassim Mohamed Al Qasemi, UAE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Welcoming the guest in parliament, Mrs Muradyan thanked the Ambassador for the visit.

In the course of the meeting both sides highlighted the strengthening of the inter-parliamentary ties and the expansion of the cooperation, to which, according to the interlocutors, could also promote the activation of the mutual visits. The sides discussed particularly the possibility of the women MPs’ meeting of the two countries and the exchange of experience, the cooperation between the businessmen, as well as the creation of the Friendship Group in the UAE Parliament.

Ruzanna Muradyan has assured that Armenia-UAE Friendship Group is ready to continue the parliamentary cooperation and observe the UAE experience in different spheres.

Thanking Ruzanna Muradyan for the reception, Ambassador Jassim Mohamed Al Qasemi highlighted the women MPs’ meeting of the two countries, noting that the women’s involvement in different spheres had considerably increased in his country. He has informed that the Head of the UAE Parliament is woman.

The Ambassador expressed confidence that the UAE-Armenia Friendship Group will be created in future.

During the meeting the sides highlighted the possibility of more strengthening and developing the cooperation, activating the mutual visits and holding joint debates.

The interlocutors also touched upon a number of issues of bilateral interest.
