On October 2 the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Hovhannes Sahakyan in the first reading debated the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on the RA State Awards and Honourable Titles” submitted by the RA Government. The RA Minister of Urban Development Narek Sargsyan has made a key report, noting that the draft law has a goal to encourage the builder’s work, giving him a title of honoured builder.

The draft law “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements” was also debated in the first reading. The key speaker, the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Suren Krmoyan talked about the advantages of the draft law.

The submitted two draft laws with the endorsement of the Committee will be included in the draft laws of the agendas of the eighth session of the NA fifth convocation and the upcoming four-day sittings.

The debate of other items included in the agenda was postponed up to one year by the authors’ proposal.

On the same day the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration and Local Self-Government moderated by Stepan Margaryan at the sitting debated in the second reading two bills (“On Amending the RA Law on Community Service” and “On Amending the RA Law on Local Self-Government” submitted by the RA First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations), which were endorsed by the Committee and will be included in the draft law of the agenda of the NA upcoming four-day sittings.

At the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Vardan Ayvazyan the draft law “On Approving the Three-Year Programme of the RA State Statistical Works for 2016-2018” was debated.

The key speaker, the Chairman of the RA National Statistical Service Stepan Mnatsakanyan noted the directions of the activities of the Service.

The submitted draft law with endorsement of the Committee will be included in the draft law of the agenda of the eighth session of the NA fifth convocation.

On the same day the RA NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment moderated by Martun Grigoryan convened the next sitting.

Armen Yeghiazaryan, Director of the National Centre for Legislative Regulation presented the first item of the agenda “On Amending the RA Law on Tribal Livestock Breeding.”

The NA deputy Armen Avetisyan noted about the advantages of the draft law.

The RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan presented the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Organic Agriculture.”

As a result of the Committee members’ voting the two draft laws on the agenda were included in the draft laws of the agendas of the NA autumn and the upcoming four-day sittings.
