On September 23 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan awarded the RA Honoured Cultural Figure Kamo Hovhannisyan the NA President’s Medal for the significant contribution to the sphere of culture on his 70^th birth anniversary.

Congratulating him, the NA President has noted, “Kamo Hovhannisyan, being the director of Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre for years, has greatly contributed to the enlivening of the cultural life, and as a pedagogue has conveyed his experience to the generations, who have permanently returned with higher awards.

It is not accidental that today Kamo Hovhannisyan is a member of the Council of Elders and continues actively taking part in the public and cultural life of his country.”
