The RA National Assembly President Galust Sahakyan sent a congratulatory message on Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia. The message reads:
“Dear compatriots,
I congratulate you on the 24th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia.
About a quarter of a century we are the owners of a value for which today also fight is going on in the world, lives are being sacrificed and border lines are being proofread. This is the value that has not been artificially installed in us by somebody else, but it is firmly laid in our conscience and soul, a value which we have never refused, even if some have tried to take it from us by force.
We have confidently and unitedly made our choice, and we are obliged with the same confidence and consolidation to make a full reality everything which is in the idea of independence. Otherwise it will resemble a non-completed dream and a half-left wish. Our victories are the witnesses that we cannot have half dream because it is dangerous for the future. Hence, due to our potential being shown in different places of the world, our viability repeatedly proven, firm faith towards future, we have possibility and obligation for providing continuity of our victories, endlessly dreaming and making it reality, to which we have no alternative. And the opposite is the disappearance from the map of the world, one of the first and basic creators and drawers of which are considered to be us, and even those give credit to this, who artificially and unwillingly appeared on that map.
Dear compatriots,
The Motherland is in all of us irrespective of the geographical territory of our residence, uniting us and uniting in us. We have fought for the independence without taking into consideration that territory and space, conscientiously passing to each other the idea of living free and independent from generation to generation, from Diaspora to Armenia and Artsakh and thrown to the opposite direction, permanently being strengthened, based on the dreams and practical steps, national way of thinking and work style by the Pan-Armenian bridge and all-national efforts. We have put together our dream and idea, our means and opportunities, our blow and weapon and won. We also combine all that now and we’ll continue to win, because the final restoration of historical justice means integrity of dream in the Pan-Armenian conscientious and geographical territory.
I wish all of us peace and optimism, more welfare and more powerful Motherland to continue building together with faith, confidence and love.”
