On September 8-11 the delegation led by the Chairman of the RA National Assembly Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan was in the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) on a working visit.

Within the framework of visit the Armenian Delegation had meetings with Wolfgang Hellmich, Chairman of the Defence Committee of the FRG Bundestag, Ralf Brauksiepe, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Defence, André Hahn, Chair of the Parliamentary Oversight Panel of the German Bundestag (security issues), Antje Leendertse, Head of the FRG Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Presidency of Germany to OSCE, Michael Bentmann, Special Commissioner of the FRG Federal Minister of Interior, Director of the Procurement Agency of the Federal Ministry of the Interior Responsible for the Policy of the Federal Interior and Wolfgang Bosbach, Chair of the Committee on Internal Affairs of Bundestag.

In the course of the meetings the cooperation and perspectives existing in the military, internal affairs and national security between Armenia and Germany were discussed, agreements were reached for implementing bilateral visits. Special attention was paid to the steps to be undertaken for strengthening the parliamentary relations between the two countries. The sides also discussed the negotiation process directed to a number of issues concerning the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, regional and global security.

On September 8 the RA Delegation took part in the evening-party with the heading “Treasures of Armenian Nature” organized at the initiative of the RA Embassy in the FRG and NABU.
