On August 14 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan awarded Medal of the RA NA President to Vartkes Mahdessian, Representative of the Armenian Religious Group in the House of Representatives of Cyprus, for his great contribution to the advancement of the interparliamentary relations between Armenia and Cyprus, as well as Armenian Diaspora in Cyprus .

The RA NA President wished Vartkes Mahdessian new successes in his pro-Armenian activity.
